Ventilated Lid Both Ends

Always the right way up, allows easy filling & emptying. Vents are sufficient to allow the required air in to aerate the compost when tumbling but do not allow excessive amounts to rain water in like other bins.

Symmetrical Design With Compact Working Envelope.

Gives easy tumble action, once past the half full stage the more you put in the easier it is to tumble. Being a symmetrical design also ensures that the working envelope is minimised allowing the bin to be positioned close to walls.

Reinforced Pivot Bosses & stainless Steel Breaker Bar.

Design features such as reinforcing the pivot bosses,and adding strengthening webs to the shell not only ensures that the bin is one of the strongest on the market it also prevents excessive wear.  The stainless steel breaker bar along with the galvanised steel  frame also add to the quality of the bin, no danger of the breaker bar rotting away when it comes into contact with wet compost.

Unique Tumbling action

Unlike other tumbling bins where the axis of rotation goes through the centre of the cylinder the Tumbleweeds is at 90º to it,   .This means that the compost is dropped from on end of the bin to the other, hitting the breaker bar, and aerating properly, the other design tends to just roll the compost over its self, try the action for yourself next time your coffee jar is half full.

Split Legs

The split leg design allows a little bit of movement for self levelling on slightly uneven surfaces, keeping the composter stable when tumbling.
